stupid thing is cutting out at 5g

im sorry and i know it has doesnt involve a supra but i was wondering if anyone might know why my 95 celica gt 2.2 would cut out at 5g, i was thinking a tune up with new fuel filter might help cause it just sounds like its loosing it at 5 and just bounces

thats what im thinking so im gonna do a full tune up and put ngk wires and really good ngk plugs in it, it runs awsome but i have to shift at 3900 to keep power which sucks going 3rd to 4th and 4th to 5th
