Stupid request... need pic of a 7mgte crank pulley

need a side profile... showing the front/back of it *engine side mainly*

Or... if you have one but no camera, tell me how big of a "spacer" there is on the crank pulley side that goes up against the timing belt gear...

This engine is pissing me off to no end. :nono:


Basically my problem is that when I go to put the harmonic balancer on, it tightens itself up against the lower timing cover, and I don't know if it's an issue w/ the cover or the pulley.

Not sure what you can tell from this pic. I am pretty sure it came off an N/A, but I believe Turbo and N/A are the same (at least the cranks are). It's an old picture, but I have a couple of these if you need one.

I've parted 8 mkIII's, and I have parts everywhere. In the dark, I can't find that pulley, but here is a picture of the one I took out of my 87 Turbo, still on the motor. Not a great angle. If you still don't have it figured out tomorrow, I will try to get another pic in the daylight.

Here you go.

The timing belt pulley looks correct in your pic...I suspect the lower timing cover.
