Anyway..... Would a 5m bottom end work w/ a 7m head? The car is an N/A, so I don't see why it wouldn't. I just have no idea about the heads, because I'm pretty much worthless.......

It might work, I suppose. Rumor I recall is that the 7m is just a stroked version of the 5/6m series.

I think the head gasket is ever so slightly different. But get one of each and see.

Pretty sure the 7M head will fit on the 5M/6M, or even older M blocks.

The 7M is basically the 6M with a different head. The 6M was basically a 5M with a longer stroke.

7M heads use Shim over bucket and tend to spit the shims out at either High RPM or lots of valve lift so the solution is Shim under bucket or One Piece Buckets.
