Car stumbles on boost from 3800-4200.... but not all the time. Sometimes it runs perfect. No codes and the ign timing is at 10deg with the jumper... Any ideas?

Just a guess, but add some toulene and see if that changes your tank of gas, and this "sometimes" problem.
PS, you can get the toulene at most paint supply stores, but it's going to cost you a few bucks thanks to the greedy oil companies and our friends the Saudi's.
edi said:hold on, you would mix a gallon of Toulene into a full tank of 91 and it will increase the octaine rating from 91 to about 94? is this safe for the plugs and O2 sensor?
jdub said:That is correct...been doing it for 4-5 tanks so far using Xylene, works good. BTW, Xylene is easier to get in the US than Toulene...the Meth heads use Toulene in their labs. That's why you read about them blowing up from time to time
Take a look at this thread:

jdub said:Yep...use a gal of Toulene or Xylene. It will raise 91 octane to about 94. This will correct a knock problem if your knock sensors is detecting knock and retarding timing on you.
fatality said:Toluene's octane rating is 114. Adding a gallon to 15 gallons of 91 octane will increase it to 92.44 octane, not 94. If You use Xylene (is that 117 or 118?, I'll go with 117 to be safe) you will get an octane rating of 92.63. From what I've been told, low octane might burn out your engine.
Here's the Formula:
[(oct1*vol1) + (oct2*vol2)] / voltotal
