So...Whats the biggest drill bit you can use?? With the inserts I want to use they call for a M16x1.5 external thread. Possible?

Use 7/16" studs with a coarse thread in the block and fine thread nut. Helicoil kit can be found at gregg distributors, studs and nuts can be found at partsource (NOT canadian tire...)

I had a head do the stripped thread thing. It happens after awhile to aluminum, the annealing. Ah well, paperweight!

Yah helicoils aren't my my thing. I'm going with stock studs, but the inserts outside thread is 16mm, Cat inserts. Guess I'll see if they fit.
