I'm pretty sure I'm hearing the brake pad warning clip touching the rotor sometimes, so i'm starting to look into brake pads. What are some ofthegood brands out there? What kind would be best for street/highway driving? I won't be doing any autox or anything, so just basic pads...

the akebono does, but the only shop that I've seen selling them is the place I work at... I can get you a pair for like 54.00-ish, thats 20% over cost...

I've heard Porterfields are good. I've got a couple of sets in my garage for my cars, but I haven't installed them yet. I'm very easy on brakes, so I don't have to replace them for 100k mi. or more. I got the Porterfields for my wife's car. She uses brakes annually.
The ceramic I hear don't have the same pedal feeling as other materials. Maybe Supraman can verify this.

Thanks Supraman.
A guy at work who makes brake kits tests different products on his daily MINIVAN ride. He doesn't like the ceramics. But the ceramics are suppose to last forever with little dust.
