Hi, i just had overheating problem. Temp raise too much on the stock gauge (dont have an aftermarket gauge) and the coolant was boiling after a ride. I test the thermostat in 99celcius water and it did nothing. It says 88c on the thermostat. I suppose it should have open to that point(leave it 5min in that boiling water and nothing happen). So i decided to change both the thermostat and the radiator since it look full of gunk trough the filling hole, so it might be semi-clogged. I had an extra clean radiator coming from an auto 7mgte so i decided to install it. Fill it with coolant and water to realize everything was dripping from the port for the auto tranny?!?! What the fuck, i read it was suposse to be for oil tranny? Look like coolant is connected to these 2 ports?
How normal is this?

You are correct its only for auto tranys and is the cooler. It could be two things, if using toyota red any left over auto trans fluid could be fooling you into looking like coolant as it drips out. Or the radiator is also junk and is leaking into the bottom.

Does the auto trans cooler ports have fitting attached to the radiator? They could just need tightening. THo a new koyo stock replacement is like 100 maybe a little more from dm.
