Strange problem with auto-tranny (+)

Well you could jack the car up and get under the car and turn the lever on the trans manually to each position and check if the wheel turn. If it works fine then it could be the linkage but check all the linkages first.

yes, i did. Still the same... so, i gave up - last night i replaced to another tranny. Think to disassemble the "wrong" tranny to watch what happened...


Have another question (it's about another supra):
I used to think that all A340E's are the same... And when i made the swap (1G-GTE -> 2JZ-GTE) i filled the tranny with usual Castrol dextron TQIII... Tranny works fine; there no kicks or, don't know the right word, frictions "slide"...

Is it safe to drive on dextron-3? Or better change to recommended special T-IV?
