Hi,

i got a strange noise from my engine when the engine is warm.
It comes not from the head. The valveplay is good.
On this video you can hear the noise. It comes from the bottom of the engine.

The crank and rod bearings are new clevites.
I need your help :(

the journals are grounded to the next undersize with undersize bearings. And this is 5000 miles ago. The clearance should be good.

hey brgrubbs24,
i got it from first day too, but the engine runs normal,! My Pump and the drive for the pump are new. But maybe the clearance from the oilpumpdrive is not good.. hm

Engine gets hot, parts expand all over the engine. If it's a knock, it's knocking on more than one with it being that rapid...

My forged bottom end sounds similar. only at idle. Bit of a "lighter" sound then before. guessing lighter rods/pistons might have that effect.

Mine got tore down after only a few miles a few months back due to a rattle under the accel to deccel shift on throttle lift off. Rod bearings had no noticeable wear. Idle sound the same as it does now, similar to the video. funky wear on the mains though but thats another story..
