Strange engine harness

I need help with some harness issues. My gauge cluster does not work and I found out that I need to connect the M1 connector under the dashboard, but the problem is I don't have one. Actually, all my engine harness plugs that come into the cabin with the ECU plugs don't match the wiring diagrams' plugs or the body harness plugs in my car.

Does anyone know if there were different body harnesses for supras? I was under the impression the only differences were in years for the engine harness.

Do these connectors look familiar to anyone?

^Two from the body, the small one is the M1 connector and the big one connects to a big one from the engine harness. Just can't find the other end of the M1 connector.

^These are the 4 connectors that come from the engine harness along with the 3 ECU plugs. The big square one connects to the big square one in the first picture but the rest are a mystery.

These are just some random connectors at the left side of the glovebox area I can't figure out, they aren't really a priority and I think the white ones may be for TCS.

My car is a late 89 N/A, and I'm not sure if it was originally 5-spd or auto.
My engine harness is a weird spliced up one that is supposedly from a late 89 turbo auto, but I can't be sure.
The dashboard harness (if it comes in to play) is also the original one in the car.

Thanks.

Yeah, the M1 is my main concern for now. I've figured out what each wire does but it's really strange that there's no plug coming from the engine harness to mate up with it. I think I'll have to match up colors and hope for the best...

89 Was a bad year for wiring. I swear Toyota just used whatever they had for connectors in those cars.

All I can tell you is that harness is jacked up, none of those connectors besides the big square B1 match anything from 86 to 92. Also, be careful before you cut the ends off and try to color match, it's quite possible there are a couple wires of the same color.

M1 for 89/90 should look like the center plug here. Same as 87/8 different color.

Your 1st pic the Large 20+ pin plug is B1, the smaller plug IIRC is B2.

o_O yeah you guys are right... I tried splicing some of the wires from the harness to the other end of the M1 from the body (which I do have) and neither of the two black wires from the engine were the tach wire. I'm actually considering just running a wire from the ignitor to the gauge since I can sort of live without everything else but have to have the tach.
