Okay so I have recently noticed a weird sound that happens with full throttle on my car. I am trying to figure it out, but of course without any tech skills, makes that kinda difficult. Anyway, when I am driving at WOT and ECT on, I hear a loud noise, sounds like a blender on a low speed setting. I am really hoping it's not the turbo. I still get full boost and the car still accelerates normally. I can't notice the sound at all, but I am usually in traffic, so the ambience would drain that out if it is faint. Here are my amateur guesses.

A) So it might be an exhaust leak, but I have revved the engine in neutral, and I don't hear the sound at all.

B) Clogged cat, but I only have one, and I don't notice any power losses.

C) Transmission problem, but the car shifts into all gears just fine.

D) Turbo dying, but I still get full boost.

I'll try and get a chance to drive in a parking garage to see if I can hear something and give a better diagnostic. Sorry if my description doesn't help any also. I just want to get this taken care of.

That's nice and all, but I don't think that is the same thing. I can drive at highway speed all day long, but it's not until I have it at WOT and full boost does it make a whiney like noise.

Okay I think I have located the problem. I see where I have scraped some part of the exhaust which made it loose in the middle right before where the second cat would be. So I am thinking it may have just pulled something loose in the exhaust system.

Oh and sorry I think my description is not helping everyone. The sound is like an empty blender on a low speed. No crunching or grinding noises, just a whirl or whining noise.
