little, huh? haha. thats excellent. my grandma lets me keep the supra in her garage for the winter. (she doesnt have a car) i always offer to shovel the sidewalks and stuff in payment for it. (though i would do it anyway)

that's a sweet deal, shaeff. the rent for this place is excellent. especially between 5 people. and if i have it next year, my dad said that he's got motorcycle buddies looking to store their bikes for the winter and they usually pay $120-$150/mo... and if i end up losing one person next year... i could make some money. :)

thats badass. is it heated? thats the only downside to my gradmas:( but on a good side, i keep the supra on the road year round, so on "nice" winter days i take it out for a drive. i have one garage at my house that's semi-heated. in 0* weather it stays around 50*F, which isnt so bad. so if i buy some mod for my car over winter, i usually drive 10 minutes to my grandmas, get the supra, drive it home to my garage, park it inside for a bit to let it warm up, then work on it and drive it back to my grandmas:)

that looks like a sweet place there. hell, i'd keep renting that place year round and throw my tools in there, and work on my car there!

thats what we're doing

its not heated, no. but we're gonna pick up a reddy heater, the little jet engine lookin thing for there, so i'd say that'll warm us up. and propane's pretty affordable, so we should be ok.

we are keeping it year round, basically until we get kicked out, which i dont think will happen.

the bumpers? its our car crew son!!!!
um... that was gross...
anyway, i took mine off since it was only hanging by zip ties and a few bolts, and i was preparing for a large fmic, but went with the smaller one that flows better.. duh? and havent put it back together since i have yet to hang the IC... he took his off to clean up all the rusted bolts underneath and remove the hack job fmic that was on there...

so next winter, if anyone's in or around central MA and needs a place to store or work on their supra... it'll be there.

well, been down there every night after work. and i keep forgetting the camera... took the front suspension all off and separated the control arms. they came out quite nicely, no need for a picklefork here, it just needed one good smack with a hammer and everything came loose.
but i found the real damage to the LH side suspension from when that curb jumped out in front of me... the upper control arm bolt is bent slightly, the arm itself is fine, but the bolt if i roll it on the floor has a little wiggle and was much harder to remove than the other side...

and not only the bolt, but i noticed that on the lower bushing of my shock (bilstein, less than 8mo old) was almost starting to get pressed out. its a little crooked and moved from its original position, but under closer inspection, the whole lower loop is moved in and the shock is dented. i'll get some pics tomorrow, but now i need to buy a new shock.

i suppose it's not a bad deal... the supra's pretty resillient in a situation like this.
the upper and lower ball joints are perfect. all bushings are good.
that particular wheel bearing has a slight hum, but i've only noticed it now, freely spinning it, so who knows. i could blame it on the accident, but i dont know if that's justified... i mean, the car has almost 170,000miles on it....

anywho... this will sort of be my progress thread i suppose. i'll keep you guys all updated.

pulled off the spoiler, also and found a nice little family of those tiny tiny ants living in the center section... assholes...

and also i found a pretty scary looking spiderweb by the diff... 3 good size egg sacs and i killed a damn scary lookin spider, too... friggin insects.
