i was wondering iam going to be purchasing a 1j soon and how much boost can the stock internals and stock twins handle?

Run 20psi if you want. I run more than 14psi daily and have run more than 20(accidently) on the twins before.
It is true that the twins do fail but I have yet to see anyone show evidence to make me believe that it's caused by boosting higher than 1bar. I've had 4 sets of CT12s. The set that died earliest were only running stock boost.
People will get smokey twins at all boost levels. Stock, 14psi, 18psi, doesn't matter. They will most likely fail eventually eitherway.

I run 14 psi on my twins daily, I crank it to 20 psi when i wanna have more fun! they haven't fail yet! My car made 322hp at 10 psi 365hp at 15 psi & 422hp at 20 psi, I do have a AEM ems though, my car was tuned by Sound performance in bloomingdale Illinois, so the twins aren't worthless as people think.

Don't listen to half the people on this forum to use generic turbos and made in china wastegates/injectors/intercoolers that tell you can run single for 3k. You'll just be replacing them in 6 months spending twice as much $$ and wasting your time. Do it right the first time so you never have to do it again. Something like that can get you upwards of 700whp.
About the power question:
1JZGTE stock rods seem to pull the bolts out at around the 1000whp mark. There's maybe 5 1JZGTE's in America that make that kind of power, so you have nothing to worry about.
Most people make 450-550whp on bone stock internal engines. If you want more, you really need cams.
