I know this has probably been talked about time and time again. I searched but did not come across anything, but anyway my stock head gasket is on its way out. So I was just going to put a new toyota head gasket with arp's studs in im not looking to go over 400whp for a long time so I think that will be totally fine just wanted to make sure.

If you are taking out the block and having everything machined by a shop, then go mhg.

Otherwise, go OEM and keep your tune safe. :)

I'm currently at 10k miles on my rebuild running stock gasket and ~8-10 psi. Probably just over 300 at the wheels, but maybe just under. : dunno:

I ran a stock style head gasket with a 60-1 CT a few years ago. ~380whp, beat the shit out of it every time I drove it, no issues. Held up the entire time I had the car, and didn't blow before the motor got RK. Made at least 350whp for 30K+ miles.

I am also doing this setup right now and was wondering what the bolts should be to. 54lbs from tsrm or 74lbs that i see other ppl recommend.
Neither, go with the torque specs that ARP recommends.
