Stock alarm doesn't work anymore???

It stop working about 1 year ago, almost forgot I even had one until someone mentioned it. It just all of a sudden stop working. The light on the dash doesn't stay on and it doesn't arm anymore. Anyone have any ideas where to start???

Pull the cover that is above your knees off (it has the hood popper on it) and look way up into the dash. Then locate the black box that says "Theft Deterrant" on it. Replace that or make sure it is still plugged in to it's clip.

Id say the piece in your door that lets Theft deterrant in your car has broken/gone bad therefore it doesnt arm in the first place, or check cables like Afunk said. I just pulled mine totally since its a POS and is more trouble than its worth ( alarm went off and wouldnt deactive it by any means so just junked it)
