Stereo repair harness

Hey guys,

So today I decided to install my stereo repair harness onto the existing bundle of chopped up wires coming out of my center console. Everything was going fine until I finished splicing all of the wires coming off the harness and found these two wires; one is pink with a blue stripe, the other is black and red which I know might be the power antenna wire.

I'm not currently running a power antennae so I don't mind leaving this one as is. The repair harness I bought was like this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/TOYOTA-Supra-87-88-89-90-OEM-Reverse-Radio-Wire-Harness-/260762240810. Any ideas on what this pink and blue wire might be? I used these two references to help me out with the wiring.

I am just wondering if you bothered to read the second thing you attached on this thread? Not to be rude but if you had, you would know what both of those wires go to. Took me 30 seconds to find it in the document you provided.

At least you found it. I would have eventually pointed it out after a few other people chimmed in to poke fun at you for not seeing it. lol. Thanks though for the harness info sheet. I actually need one of those because the harness in my car looks like Helen Keller wired it up.

yeah it seems to be mandatory when installing a new head unit into a car....you have to whine a bit about it. If you don't then it wasn't installed correctly.

Ummm.. I just threw an adapter harness on mine, wired it up to the head unit pig tail and was good to go. No whining here! :)
If I could do that, there'd be no whining here either. I can't because a previous owner was an idiot who hacked off the factory wiring harness, and put in a crappy deck. It was also wired in poorly, with the power antenna line being crossed over to accessory power.

My '89 is like that, since it was still new enough that I was replacing the factory deck when I installed the first one.

Yeah there are no connectors on mine. I have to hard wire / re-wire the stereo harness. Hell to be honest most of the harnesses on this car has had to be either re-wired or ripped out and purchased new.

I'm glad th PO of my car left the plugs alone even though he pulled out the stereo and replaced it with switches, now all I gotta do is make the pretty splice harness :)
