STB on top of idle adjustment screw

I just recieve a Strut Tower Bar off from a personal sale. It came from a supra owner who was parting out and was made by Cusco.

When I installed it, the Bar is applying pressure to the idle adjustment screw housing. Before, when I started the car, the engine would torque flex whenever reved up from the engine bay. Now with the strut tower bar, the engine does not flex but the whole front end does a little and whenever idling, the inside of my car shakes and vibrates. (I know this is from the increased rigidity of the car but it is annoying)

My question is, should the bar be applying so much pressure to the idle adjustment housing that it stops torque flexing? is this normal? has anybody else had this problem? should I add a few washers to raise the height of the STB?
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

If you do road racing or just driving hard on the road, they'll greatly improve the handling. I don't know if you can really feel the difference, but a friend of mine has done some road track racing and he says it improves the track time. But so did stiffening the shocks.
I don't think they do anything for drag racing though. But I can't say that from experience.

shawndude did alot of research on this and I believe he found that the strut tower bars aren't that helpful since the chassis doesn't tend to flex or "bow in" inside the engine bay. I think the main point in his arguement though was that there are fare better things to spend your money on than that if you want your car to behave better. (sway bars, new tires and what not)

You can buy spacers for it, jblmk3.com has some
