i have a 1987 7mge supra and i was having starting problems, at first it would like never start maybe like once every other day, i changed the spark plugs, spark wires, igniter and coil pack, oil, and battery and i ran injector cleaner, now the car starts but i have to crank it for a while and press the accelerator a couple times to get it started, after its started the oil pressure rises and it goes up to 3k then slowly comes back down till stock idle than every now and then it will drop to like 500 rpm and start to bog a little. What could cause these things?

i havent changed the distributor yet, i didnt mean to say coil pack sorry. also i havent pulled the codes yet but i know i will get a lot because its not running an 02 sensor and the egr is eliminated
what is pirate air, and i will pull the codes, need to get my vac lines tested and i just got my fuel pressure tester in to test all my fuel system
Pirate air is any that enters the engine without being measured by the air flow meter. Such air is not accounted for by the ECU when computing engine load. Also known as false air and unmetered air. Valve cover gaskets, the oil pan gasket, and the dipstick tube are often overlooked sources of pirate air.
Check your wires to your starter, maybe loose wire, but if your car starts up should be fine, you should check your battery voltage, if its around 9.6-10 volts you should either replace the battery check the the power cable between your battery and the power and ground on the starter has a good connection. you should be getting a good 11-12 volts when you check your starter voltage. make sure good power is flowing between the cables.
For the rpm drop, make sure your not using a two thick of oil, because if the oil your using is too thick, its not heating up fast enough, therefor the flow for the oil isnt getting around in the car. The problem also might be your intake, if it turns on and you leave it, and the car turns off by itself, then make sure your intake is tightly clamped on to your throttle body. As for if you have an after market filter make sure it pushed in all the way against your MAF and tightly secured. The plug on your MAF make sure its completely clamped on and not loosely hanging.

i just bought a new battery for the car, but the cables might be bad i might have to check that, and thanks a lot hellremix i will have to check all of this out
