Oooooooookkkk where to start

Obviously its a 7mgte, it's just had a rebuild and it went from a standard setup to a little more than that.

Mods-
450hp garrett turbo
bosch 040 fuel pump
new manifold
external wastegate
sard fuel reg
front mount

there is more but not really important.

now to the issue

we finally got it all wired up to start for the first time (in over a year) and it would crank but not fire. the wiring loom is a bit of a dodge job (few added wires by the mechanic for reasons unknown to me)

so when i checked the fuses, the EFI fuse was blown, replaced it and as soon as you crank, pop, fuse goes again. this lead me to check the ECU.

It had several fried resistors due to some kind of surge going back into it.

Currently saving up for full aftermarket management (wolf3d or microtech) but i'm also thinking about buying another loom/ecu just to run it in and get it on the road as its been far too long.

now two questions

1: would it be safe to run in with these mods? no nasty things can happen (enough have happened so far in this build)

2: what would be the cause of the frying of the ecu and subsequent failure to start?

I appreciate as much input and advice that you guru's can provide

Cheers

Smokey

Smokey: :( If it were me I'd dig up an unbutchered Loom and ECU as who knows what "Genius Mods" have been done to your old one......

The wiring on these cars is a nightmare at the best of times let alone when a rocket scientist has been at work!
(where in Melb?)

Hey smokey, still having problems mate? :(
I'd be trying a decent loom/ECU too.

Damn, I was over in Melb a couple of weeks ago for the F1s, should've come seen you guys. :)
