I have an 88 N/A and I went out this morning to leave and attempted to start my car. When I turned the switch the gauges go crazy, lights flicker and the car has a soft rumbling vibration. I'm thinking it's the starter because I just replaced the alternator but I was just looking for some opinions. It did rain pretty hard last night so there could be some water somewhere but I never had this happen before. I'm gonna pull out the starter and try to test it to see if it's working properly before I get a new one.
