I have just gotten my engine back into my car and I can't figure where these two wires go. One goes to the battery and I can't seem to figure out where the other goes two. The most probable is the one i can't trace goes to the alt. and both the wires go to the starter, but I just thought I'd ask a quick one to just make sure.

Thanks in advance, I couldn't find anything in my search.

So you have two wires hooked up to the starter? Are there only two or is there 3 total. On the stock set up, one wire which will have a bolt on connector on it goes to the battery, the other wire should hook into you engine wiring harness(I am pretty sure this one is blue w/ a black stripe, it could be the other way around though(86.5-88)(unsure of the 89-92 colors). This wire should have a female spade connector on it that plugs onto the starter, the other end of the wire should vanish into the wiring harness and basically go into your ignition system. If this one is attached to your starter and you have a bare wire end on the other side, it most likely broke, which means you will have to find the other end and soldier it back together. If you have three I have no clue what you have going on. Pics would definitely help though.......

not without pics, I only have two on mine. Does the third wire connect to the main post that the battery connects to, to where the engine harness connects, or some other place on the starter?

These are the two wires I can't seem to find connections to. The one is different than the one from the battery that goes to the starter. The other connector I just can't seem to find a male end for. Also does any one know where the connection for the fuel system is in the wiring harness cause I can't seem to get a fuel reading on the dash and the fuel pump doesn't seem to be priming.

So the first picture is going to probably be power. Does it connect to the same spot on the starter that the battery power wire does? If so then check out your + battery wire, is there only one wire that goes straight to the starter or is there 2 branching off of the terminal and one goes into the fuse box and one goes directly to the starter? If you only have one single wire going directly to the starter and this wire that you are showing me is connected to the same spot the + battery cable is then this wire needs to go to your fuse box, it connects to one side of the fusible link for the alternator, the other side of the fusible link goes directly to the alternator.
The second one I am not really sure on. Someone else is going to have to help you with that one. Is this connector attached to the engine wiring harness or does it come from over by the fuse box? I was thinking something like headlight washer plug and its not used. I really don't though, I have a pre89. Good luck, let me know about the starter wire.

The first wire, is it one or two wires taped together? My 88 has two taped together, one wire is tan I can't remember the second colour. They both ground on the intake manifold @ # 5 unit with a bolt mayne yours is the same??

Yeah the first one is two wires taped together. We grounded it and it seems to work fine, she starts now, but now my main concern is the second wire. Does anyone know where the heck that one goes to?

Connector #1- definitely a main ECU ground wire, usually bolts to the intake manifold.
Connector #2- I just went outside and checked my supra (91 Turbo 5-speed w/tems), and I have the same connector just sitting there next to the ignitor, unused. I'm guessing it's wiring they ran in case of a car having a particular option. I would say it's unused on your car, too.

Thanks guys. We go her running this weekend, and I got to take her out. There are still a few problems, but those will be hammered out soon. We grounded the first one and nothing blew up so that's good, but the second one like toyotanos said is probably not used.
