wiggle the wires on the cps, they can sometimes go bad (like on my car) and not let the car start. You might want to have a friend do it while you're trying to start the car.

actually this morning I went out and started my car, popped the hood and put my hand on the valve covers to see if it was getting warm (checking the oil, coolant etc) and the car stuttered and almost died. I was like WTF!!! so I grabbed the cps wires and wiggled them and the car shut off :)

having the cps go out will kep the car from starting but it will still crank over no problem. Check your battery first, then try tapping in to the starter signal wire (the only small wire going to the starter) and touch it to the positive battery terminal with the car out of gear. If it cranks over 100% of the time, then your wiring is bad somewhere. If it does exactly the same thing, it's probably your starter.

Next time you get a click and nothing, take a wire and hook it up to your starter, and then touch the other end of the wire to your battery while your key is in the ignition. If that works, then it's just wiring.

I replaced my starter and cps for no reason when it was just the wire. Don't let that happen to you.
