starter dead or not help

well i go to start it and it clicks, i can get it to start after like ten trys and they all click until it starts, i also had the battery changed because i tought it was that so does this sound like a dead starter i think so but i need other opinions

make sure your wires are tight at the starter and anywhere that would be starting/charging related. if they are tight chances are the starters shittin the bed..

just went through something simillar. check all wires coming from the battery to grounds and from the battery to the starter. if any of them are even remotely damages that could be your problem. even if the contact clamps for your battery are damages it could be the problem, cus the starter needs a lot of juice to crank. the click you hear is the solenoid engaging, but that doesnt require nearly as much power as to crank it.

well i probally will be removing the whole unit to check it out, and while i am at it i might as well put new one in , but like i said i can hold clutch in and keep turning key and aftera few trys it will turn on and i can hear clicking on every turn.

well heres the result i took 7 hours to replace starter, well 6 to remove old one and 1 to put new one in lol, i just got this car and wasn't sure with wats wat on it yet but i got pretty close to it today lol, well and yea it was the starter thanks alot guys for the help this site is very useful
