Hi,
Need a good advice
So the problem
7mgte, had few problems with spacer between valves an cams
desided to fix the gaps
found that all ex. spacer are about 3.05mm and the gap is .35-.45mm
and one ex. cam holder (ex4) was faced wrong side
after making all gaps .35mm and placing the holder right direction I discovered strange noise, knock, thought that the rod bearing came to an end.
So after engine removal (bearings were fine) changed bearing to new ones (same STD size) put all together and the knock still in place.

tried everything but the knock still can be heard, it is like the rod knock but comes from ex. cam, or somewhere there.
allso one bolt on the cam holder was broken, nothig can be don there (ex6)

What can be the problem ???

Are you talking about the cam bearing cap? How is the bolt broken? Not there, couldn't get it out, or what?

it spins all theway, cant be tightned.

knock is on idle and till 3,5k rpm

This is something you definitely need to fix. The cam bearing caps have to be torqued properly. Not tightening them to the specified torque allows excess clearance, which is bad. You more than likely have done some damage to the bearing surfaces. You will need to check the bearing surfaces and camshaft. If everything checks out helicoil the cam bearing cap threads to repair them.

Start by looking at the TSRM here: http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=EM&P=41

Exhaust valve clearance is .20-.30mm to be considered in spec. You want as close to .25 as possible.

Intake side is .15-.25mm. You want .20mm.

You made it way worse which is why its... well worse.

That bolt also is fucking gap clearance making your measurements inaccurate.

Fix the bolt and do the equations here to find the new shim you need:http://cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=EM&P=10

PM Suprarich for the shim sizes you need. Do it right the first time and you'll be a lot happier.

You'll need pencil, paper, micrometer, calculator, and towels to lay everything out.

It's not hard, just super effing tedious. I've done it twice myself.
