As the topic says, what are the advantages of each, or is one completely better in every way except cost? I've heard that Inverted > Standard, but I'd like to know why (a true explanation). I know people have said that inverted is less weight, more durability, etc. but no explanation why.

Thanks!

Inverted is usually done to reduce unsprung weight.

Yeah, less unsprung weight/inertia. Although it's really not that much of a difference if you're using a good shock. Also usually sucks for packaging on a street car.

And you can only do it with pressurized shocks. The cheaper twin tube shocks that aren't pressurized will not work. But any good monotube and really good twin tubes and you're good.
