i installed the safc and pulled fuel from the curve and ever since i installed it i have been stalling. well ever sine i turboed my na car i have been stalling after i am in the boost. at cruise speeds id doesnt happen that often but the stalling still happens. at 120 mph this is causeing a problem anybody know of a way to fix this or have 440 chip for a vpc that i can buy

i am still running the stocker because i couldn't get the car to start with the vpc 550 chip in it from a talon so i diconnected the vpc and the car runs but with the stocker still attched. couldn't figure out the vpc rsritor installed a 2.4 khz resistor couldn't find the right one anywhere but found on here that smaller resisotr was ok
and i have modded the afm so that it was tighter so that didnt keep going to wot under low boost

ok its prob the bov. when you come off boost and bov opens you are venting air that the afm measured. this will cause it to run over rich and often stall.

as far as the resistor, you just put it inline w/ the air intake temp wiring going to the ecu.

ok all the instructions that i found for that say that u put the resistor inline connecting the THA and E2 connctors on the afm clip harness side but it goes between the air temp sensor and the ecu
also wish i had a pic of the oil line i am talking about to show but my connection way to slow for photobucket

E2 is ground, and the clip at the afm plug and and at the ecu are the same wires, just a different spot.

i guess you could wire the resistor from the intake temp and ground, we've just always put it inline like hks said.

i dont think i would want to try and run 440 injectors on a 550 chip. even running 550 injectors most use the 440 chip. you could try it that way, but you would have to pull a ton of fuel out and that would effect the timing advance to a point that it would cause a problem.

Mine stalled and barely stayed running when i first installed it. Turned out the AFM signal wire connection wasn't good enough. I used a butt connector instead of solder and the car went back to normal.
