Stainless flanges

Looked and looked for some one to make these for me:

-7m exhaust manifold flange to make a custom mani

-Holset hy35 rear exhaust flange


Any body have waterjet capabilities that will make me one of each of these?

JLB makes the header flange, ask him to make you one in stainless, his mild one goes for $65.

If you could come up with a pattern, I'm sure a machinist could be found to make them. Something like "I want you to make me a flange this shape, half an inch thick..."

My g/f's stepdad is an out-of-work machinist... he doesn't have the equipment to make stuff, but I bet he could recommend a good machinist/shop.

they have the flange in mild and 304 stainless.

Now all I have to do is get the holset flange made.

Jeb: I would go that route, but typically a machine shop is $65 an hour, min one hour. So the moment you walk into the store, WHAM $65!

Not to mention I might have a small fortune in material.

Heh, true. I'll ask him anyway, though -- what do you figure it will be, around 5"x5", .5" thick? And is there a specific grade of stainless you want? (like 4340 or whatever...)

304 tends to expand a bit under heat

Doesn't matter. Just want stainless. I'll deal with the warping later.

Yeah a 6x5" sheet would do.
