Thinking about doing staggered fitment wheels on my 88. What is the largest width I can put on the rear without issues? Also any recomended tire sizes/combos.

You could've posted some information in the time it took you to tell him to search.
The rims I'm getting are 18x9.5 in the back with 275/35/18 and 18x8.5 in the front with 245/40/18. These should give you an idea. It depends on your suspension and the offsets of the wheels.

Cut that nonsense out. If you're going to cry search, you need to include some instructions and search terms that work as an example. That way you are part of the solution instead of part of the problem.MKIIINA said:

Several peeps I'm familar with, are running a 9"-10" front/rear stagger, with no rubbing issues. Alot of clearance problems are with incorrect offset, or the car being too low. I had two different staggered fitments on my Supra. First was ADR M-Sports, 18x8.5" (35mm offset) and 18x9.5 (also 35mm) no rubbing issues, except inner fender liners on the front. Easy fix with a heat gun, and aluminum baseball bat. I also had TSW Thruxton's, sizes 18x8, and 18x9.5. the 8's were a 20mm offset, maybe a little too agressive, for the Supra w/o a fender roll. At least for a coil-over dumped Supra!

Too funny... I did at least mention in my thread that I had searched. You kinda have to at least try, before you start a new thread. At the very least, it helps you ask more specific, intelligent questions that haven't already been answered (alot ;-).

Ok folks, listen up while I tell you a story about search.
Once upon a time, there was a site with a large membership, where if you asked just about any question, members would refuse to give you any information, and simply scream "SEARCH!" instead.
Many members jumped on the Search Police bandwagon for a variety of reasons - some of them liked feeling superior to the rest, some of them were fed up with the same questions being asked time and time again, some of them used the whole issue to pad their post count. This was looked upon with great favor for years, until an Administrator on the site realized two things.
First, the search function was bogging the server.
Second, it wasn't working anyway.
Allow me to explain, with the second problem first. When someone smart logged in, who needed to know about, for instance, a BHG, they would click search and type in the terms, BHG. They would get a *LOT* of results, of course, because this is relatively common. However, they could read pages of threads without finding any useful information because all the threads were newbies asking about a BHG followed by 20-30 Search Police screaming *SEARCH!* without providing any tips, tricks, search criteria, or links. So, all they could learn was that the Search Police were intolerant, possibly ignorant, and entirely useless.
The reason that search was bogging the server was pretty easy to figure out, every search was returning at least 100 x the threads it should, and it wasn't allowing anyone to find the information they needed, so they were running searches over and over again - meaning that the average Joe would search through possibly thousands of threads before finding the information they needed.
The Administrator that discovered the problem tried several things to fix the problem - limiting the amount of searches you could perform, wiping out useless threads, buying better hardware to run the site on, rebuilding the search indexes - all of which had problems of their own.
In the end, he simply disabled searching entirely, which, while hugely inconvenient for the members, didn't strain his wallet or his staff unduly.
In case you are wondering, the site I'm referring to is SupraForums, where they don't have a search to this day. Unless you really *want* to follow in their footsteps, I'd suggest that when you ask people to search, include terms that work, or links to appropriate threads.
PS: I personally do not want to fall into the same pit that SupraForums did, and because of this, I'll slap anyone who is marching blindly that direction.

A bit long winded today Dave? Lol. It's just a pet peeve of mine to tell someone to search without giving them any info whatsoever. Simply dont post if all you are going to say is search. On toyota-supra.info, no matter how many times the question has been asked, I post at least some information just to get someone started on the right foot.

And for the benefit of all I did try to use the search function and it didn't work! besides that I'm using a gov't computer so that may be part of the problem.
