It's been a long time since i have been on the forums, hadn't owned a Supra in a while. The last one i traded in for a Honda CBR600. Well, I have been through a couple cars since and none of them compare to the fun and awesome unique looks of the MK3 Supra. So I'm back now and going to do this better than ever.

Only this time I will not be swapping in a 2JZ, like i have with the 2 previous MK3's I have owned. I am going to build a fast torquy 7MGTE. But this project is Top Secret... from my friends at work! But not from you guys.

I'll be saving up $8,000 to start this project, which to buy the car, engine, transmission.. etc. I'm gonna try to find a rolling chassis and rebuild it. New engine harness, rotors, suspension, you get the picture.

I'm not gonna tell my friends yet until it's finished. I know they will laugh at me because I sold 2 others in the past and lost a lot of money on them. But again, I can't get past the feel and looks of the 3rd generation Supra's. Plus, let's face it, i'm never gonna have $25k to buy an MKIV!

Anyway, this will be fun and a blast once I'm finished. But please, no offers on any Supra's at this time. I don't have the funds yet to buy one. But once I do, I will let you know!

So, until then, it's pretty pointless to even look at this thread, haha!!!

8k will get you a decent supra to start out with.

Honestly if you're going to sink money into one, get one you want and not some junker shell for a few hundred bucks cause its cheap. You'll end up hating it and selling it again.

8k aint bad at all to start with. you can get some good go fast parts with that. plus a you can get decent running cars for 2k and under. so if the car is 2k then you have 6k left get some megan coilovers and you left with 5k for the engine. not bad. more than most put into there builds.

Good luck with the build, how long until you start?

should be late August early September until I pick up a Supra. then after December, things should start moving pretty fast, after I get my pay raises:biglaugh:
