Sorry if there's info out there, I searched but it's quite possible I don't know how to use a search feature since I used to spend most of my time on SF :stickpoke

Anyways, I just picked up a SS Autochrome manifold and will be getting one of the XSpower T70s and I had a few questions about oil lines and mounting. I'd like to order everything at one time instead of buying the turbo and then measuring everything so I was hoping someone who's done it could help.

1. For the oil drain, I was planning to use 5/8" hose I had left over from another turbo project. How long of a drain line do I need? Also, I saw somewhere the stock drain location won't work with this manifold, is this the case? Do I need to put a fitting in the pan?

2. For the oil feed, how long of a -4 line would I need? What fitting is needed to connect to the block/turbo?

3. I've also seen clearance issues with this turbo/manifold combo, will I need a spacer to make it fit? I was thinking about welding 2 flanges together as a spacer but didn't know if they needed to be rotated at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

1.) Don't know how long, but the stock drain location will work. Minimum dash 10 line.

2.) Its a dash 4 to metric fitting. I sell it. PM me and we'll talk shop.

3.) If you make the spacer about 1" thick, you may get away with it.

I've read that post :) I'm planning to give the turbo a thorough inspection before bolting it on. Know plenty of people running 'em without a problem, worst case you got a decent housing to throw some internals in. Can't help the intrigue of a $300 turbo, I'm a sucker for cheap Chinese crap lol

In that case, since you like cheap stuff look into Master Power turbos. People seem to love them. But like the saying always goes, "you get what you pay for."

Good luck-

I know [Drag] turbo kits (for hondas) use Masterpower turbos. Pretty much everyone ive talked to that have used that kit have never had a problem with the turbos unless they didnt use an oil restrictor.(Hondas run way more oil pressure than turbos a rated to run.)Even a lot of ppl that didnt run a restrictor had no problems. Id prolly buy a MP.

I've run 30 PSI on my Master Power T70 with no problems.. it's a GREAT turbo. Don't let the price fool you.

The "ebay" turbos on the other hand.. I wouldn't hold my breath.

Good to know about the Master Power, I'll keep my eye out for a deal. Plenty of guys over on CNA-T have had good luck with the XSPower turbos, I've talked with Mark at XSPower a little and he seems to know his stuff as well.

im the ssac guy. haha.

I'm not running the ssac t70 though, since it's a t3/t4. You'll need the t4->t3 adaptor. I bought the T61 ssac turbo since it has a true t4 flange. All of the stock oil locations can be utilized, you just need the right fittings and 2 t4 flanges to allow for the turbo inlet clearance. Specs on the turbo; .61 intake side, .84 exhaust. Pulls best at around 4,000 rpms-> redline.

Ran this cheap $200 lead ridden chinese turbo sucker for over 3,000 miles, still no shaft play. I only boost 10 psi so I can't say this turbo is all that great yet. Saving up my pennies for maftpro. :naughty:

I had a movie up a while back on my ebay turbo. PM me and I'll send you the link.

I ran an XS Power T3/T4 turbo on my old GSR Integra for over 2 years. Took everything we could throw at it. Just now is it starting to show signs of the seals beginning to wear, but the oil lines were horribly run so that could have easily played a factor.

Basically i was quite impressed. It was only pushing 7-8 psi, but still got the job done. I'd buy another one for the Supra more than likely if i found a good deal.

Good luck on the swap! Let us know how it runs. Is this going on a stock 7M?

LordLo-Saw your video a while back, good stuff :) Glad it's working well for you. I didn't see a T61 on the SSAC site, is it the "RX7 Turbo" they have listed for $199?

Jo-This will be going on a motor I'm putting together with fresh Toyota internals and a Cometic gasket w/ARPs. I'm planning to run it on E85 with 680s, walbro, Aeromotive FPR, Lexus AFM and a SAFC. Hoping to have it all together in the next few months depending on the cashflow...
