Just got it in today from driftmotion.
Let me tell you that big fat line is a pain in the ass
to put on, the flange was a bit uneven and i had
to do some modifying to the holes so that it would
sit on the studs, i had to take my manifold off, connect
the line to the block and turbo then put my manifold on. but other than that its pretty nice.

I have one question though, that big long line....
Where does that go? Ive looked in my TSRM but i
cant seem to find it...

Thanks in advance,
-Drew

if you only have 2 lines, the fat one is the drain line, and the other skinny line is the oil feed/pressure side, its from the block to the turbo between the block and the drain line on the turbo, and threads into the hole on side of the block where the original turbo line was connected with a banjo bolt.

hope this helps, not sure if i am thinking of the same parts.

Yes the long skinny braided line is your oil feed....the turbo oil hole is on the side of the block directly becide your oil pressure sender unit.

The flang probably got distorted when it had the fittings tig welded on...that's to be expected...nothing a flat surface and sandpaper can't fix!

Ok i got the drain lined hooked up to my block..
But the skinny one is just hanging and idk where to put it?
I dont see anything on the TSRM about where the feed line
goes....?

If need be i can take a picture as of what i have going on.

Failure I just told you where it goes!!!!

It goes from the turbo to the block! (right becide the big gold colored oil pressure sending unit!)....stock has a hard pipe with a banjo fitting...remove it and screw the stainless line in it's place...

You were just told that it connects to the port in the block right near the oil sending unit. Doh!

Calm down guy lol, i thought you were
talking about the fat one...
but i found out where it goes...

Few more questions,
Theres still two open flange spots on my 57?
Where can i get the flanges/lines to this and where do
they go? im looking in this damn TSRM but this thing
is freaking useless, im new to the turbo scene so cut
me a break lol... ive tried searching on google but
it always takes me to the stupid MR2 and its completly
different from mine or atleast looks like it.

Also as i was putting on my manifold i notices the 2 stud holes on the very left and 1 in the middle are stripped out and i cant get them to tighten no more than 8lbs, is there alot of pressure running through it to where it would cause a leak or do you think i will be ok? If not what are my options besides trying to re-thread it?

I also had a couple studs strip out on the exhaust side when I did my HG not too long ago. I just used a thread repair, or heli-coil kit for stock size studs on the 2 that were stripped and I was able to torque those to specs no problem. Wish I had found this out before I put the head back on though because it's kind of a PITA to do with everything on the car. If you want a little extra insurance though I believe that driftmotion has a rethreading kit with bigger exhaust studs so there is less of a chance of them stripping out again.

Just buy the complete heli-coil brand kit for the OEM size stud from any industrial supply place (McMaster-Carr, NAPA, etc). Your hole will be stronger than new and you can still use the OEM nuts with their integral locking feature.

I hope you don't take this as harsh but seriously sell the car if $70 phases you this much you really can't afford a Mk3.

If you halfass a Supra you'll just confirm your username...

Ill confirm my username?
You must be 1 out of 1 in the world of people who
do not fail correct? Im pretty sure i and everyone else learn from failure much more than from success. i often discover what will do, by finding out what will not do; and probably you who never made a mistake never made a discovery, you think that you would know what you know now about supras without people who have failed? i think not.

Sshhh, you'll thank me later. He was taking a very slight stab at you because you are coming off a part of the "cheap-out then blame 7M MK3 owner", you don't want to be that guy. :)

Anyways Autozone has helicoils, if you want to go with a bigger stud simply buy bigger helicoils and use high grade nuts and washers. (Remember to retourque the buts after a few days when the engine is cold)
