spun bearing, can this rod work?

well...i got info from 3 good people but i wanna see if anyone had success with what i was thinking....i have 5 good rods and caps from a 7mge block and i wanted to put a rod n cap from that into my block....now all rods are prefect, any one put a ge rod in a gte after spinning the bearing and it worked out fine? btw im using standard bearing sizes n shyt obviously.....the three ppl told me to just get my original rod n cap cut and get the 10 over bearing ill be fine...im willing to do it but if i can just use a good rod ns hyt do yous think i might as well?

You still need to get all the rods dressed and checked for roundness. You may find your "good" rods are going to require an OS bearing as well. You might as well get them balanced with the pistons too ;)

Take your gte rods to a reputable machine shop they should be able to resize your rods for a good price. When they resize the rod they take it back down to std. size no oversized bearing is needed. Only when they machine the crank do you need oversized bearings. I did this recently came out looking better than my others. After it was done i asked my machinist what size bearing to use he looked at me like a noob and explained to me how they got it back doen to std size.

ohh nice, i guess that would be better in my case since i already bought a set of std. bearings.....only thing that sucks is that the closest machine shop is an hour away.....and without a car at this point its difficult to get there n back....but im gonna see if roadside still does machining..
