I went to the gas station today to pump some gas. Ran into an old friend (old pathfinder) and his buddy(skyline???) was there. At first glance, all I saw was what looked like a G35 4 door with a carbon fiber hood. The hood was closed. They said the car (G35) was having trouble starting... blah, blah, blah. Popped the hood, saw a supercharger. I was like umhm... :naughty: Anyways, jump started the car and when hes pulling off, I see S K Y L I N E on the back. Now Im confused because I didnt think that they came out yet.

Just called my boy. He said that he just realized that it was a skyline too. I still dont know how true that is. Anyways, the guy just bought the "Skyline" like a week ago and its supposedly an '03. So am I right by thinking that it cant be a Skyline. Just a mocked up G35 with a supercharger. I didnt get to check the interior out for any of the badges.

There's a guy in my town that has the "SKYLINE" and "V35" lettering across the back of his G35 coupe, They say when they bring the Nissan GT-R to the states it won't wear the Skyline name, probably just a GT-R model under the Infiniti line. Many companies make superchargers for the G and 350Z, I did a run to Newport RI with a SC G35 and a Greddy turbo'd RX8 and damn are they fast.

Its just a badge. The GTR is supposed to debut in the states in the fall of '07 and will likely be a twin turbo v-6. And will be its own car, not a Skyline or G-35.

well now that you guys bring it up i just remembered, that a while back i beilieve last year i was picking a friend up from school and her next door neighbor almost hit me. when i got out of the car to find out what he was doing he drove off. It had skyline on the back where you see infinity and the way the bulbs were placed were different than that of the G35, furthore more i only saw one person in the car, and he was sitting on the right side.

Thus right hand drive, now of course i thought it couldnt be one, but i was thinking to my self, that it ridiculusly hard to convert a g35 left hand drive into a RHD, did some research.

I was a G35. I don't think that the Japanese SKYLINE came in a 4 door. Alos if it was a true skyline all the badges would be Nissan and the car would be a RHD 2 door. Did the badge on the chrome front grille have the NISSAN emblem? The embroidery on the seats should be NISSAN aswell. Reason being is that Infiniti doesn't exist in Japan. Our Infiniti car here in North America wear the Infiniti logo, where as in Japan they wear NISSAN. Also the new GT-R will be an all wheel drive V8 monster. The same V8 used in the FX-45. How do I know. I sold Infiniti's for over a year. Proposed release date is 2007.

Ahh I see. Well I dont remember what the front grill of the car had on it. I didnt get to check the interior either. I didnt start wanting to pay attention to it until I saw the Skyline across the back. I doubt it had any Nissan badges tho. O well, either way it had a supercharger so it should be decent.

There are not new skylines in the U.S. As a matter of fact when the new model skyline/g35 came out, it was only offered in Japan as a Sedan. I believe it was the 05 model year that the coupe was introduced to Japan. People just put the badges on because they think it is cool like a kid with a "type R" Honda.

I was definitey a SKYLINE. Maybe it just ad an aftermarket front grille. G35 aren't made in Japan. They are made as Skyline. So in other words, unless someone converted their NA G35 to RHD it was a Skyline.

I have seen 4 door Japanese Skylines. Been in a few and also been in the R34 GTR Godzilla Skyline. My younger brother bought a 4 door skyline and then imported GTR Godzilla version from Japan.
Also a friend's dad is the technical manager for Nissan and his dad gave me a ride in the car. Was awesome. Hefty price tag at $100,000.

Cheers,
Roy
