Hey whats up guys, i have not had time to do any research, but i was wondering what is causing my speedometer to be off, it reads a much higher speed than what i am really going. please and thanks

It is cable driven, with gears. Perhaps someone along the way has swapped either the differential, or the tranny. So the gear in the tranny does not match up to the gear ratio of the diff.

yeah, there is a number of reasons as to why it could be off.

For one when set from the factory, they progresively get higher and higher the faster you go. (speeding avoidance)

Tire size, gearing, and speedo head unit. are the only things that can cause it to read in error
