Speedometer cable

I got an 89 with the lower speedometer or as some people may call it the elbow. I talked to aaron a dm and he said a. Short manual speedo cable would work in the place of the elbow just checking to see if anyone has gone through this and would know it the short manual would work.

I had some experience with speedo cable ,but I have a 91

Aaron has as much experience tearing through these cars as anybody on here. I would take his word as gospel.

I've got a couple of the auto elbow pieces laying around if that would help you.
