Hi everyone,

I need to replace my speedo cables, the long and short one, on my 87 turbo auto. The OEM replacement part are pretty expensive, more than 200$. Does anybody know an alternate solution to OEM part? Would a speedo cable from another toyota model in the same years, would fit my supra. Looking for the cheapest way to replace those cables.

Thanks for your help.

no such thing.

As all things 7m Supra. It was unique to this car and only this car (perhaps the cressida).

Not autopart store carries the speedo cable. It is only a toyota part.

Though there is a write up in the ''write up'' section IIRC that shows how to use some AZ universal speedo cable of some sort (have to switch ends or something).
Once someone was talking about a shop that takes your cable and, basing on it, makes a new one. Maybe search can help...

Thanks for the help, located the write-up you've talked about.

I got mine brand new for under $90 from elmhurst. Just buy it new from there and don't worry about having mess with any modifications to make some random thing work.
