Speed and RPMs?

On the way home today I was doing about 75mph on the highway and I my engine was turning about 3200-3300 rpm. That seems kind of high to me. I don't get much highway time in the Supra so this is really about the first time I have had time to pay attention to the rpm for an steady/extended period of time. So what rpm should I be turning? (@ 55,60,70,75,80 and 90 mph) 1989 N/A 5 speed

That should answer your question... but maybe not cuz the speed:rpm there is for the r154 and not the w58(?), but considering you're running a 4.3 75@3300 sounds about right... i have a 3.73 and i run about 80 at like 3000 on a r154 tranny

well im pretty sure its gonna be@the same speed whether its LSD or not first off, and 2nd, the 5th gear in the w58 is .78 whereas the r154's 5th = .75. I dont think there will be a big difference at all
