speaker sizes

i was wondering if any of you guys have upgraded the speakers in our cars. I don't want 4" speakers. Do any of you guys have 6.5 and 6x9 speaker combinations??? Im not sure if this is the right place to ask this question. But any pics of the mods you guys have done would greatly aid my speaker buying quest......

I have stock size alpines in the front, and polk audio 6x9's in the back.. They play VERY loud very clear, but no bass whatsoever... So if you don't have a sub it doesn't sound too good. No tweeter needed, the alpines in front play good high range. For the 6x9s in the back, the precious owner build a flat board across right behind the rear seats.. covered in speaker cloths, it looks totally original.

also, i think the mods will be moving this thread soon...
