I guess OEM is NGK platinum? What are you guys doing as far as heat ranges? Should I go 1 colder than stock? B/c I went 1 colder than stock on my 4runner and it runs a lot better. Plugs look better. So i'm debating just running some NGK V grooves 1 colder than OEM in this '90 T we're getting tonight.

autolite 3923's gapped to .30

call it a day, enjoy great plugs, change them when you change your oil.

NGK Iridium 1 range colder. NGK says 1 range colder for every 75-100 HP more you have over stock, use that to judge the heat range.

I'd reccomend against platinum unless the car is bone stock.

NGK coppers... 1.50 a plug at advanced auto

and like shaeff said... change them often, copper is the best electrode type for turbo applications, however they wear out quickly

I notice the N/A 7M takes a 5 heat range plug. while the Turbo 7M calls for a 6 heat range; 1 colder. Since that's the case, I'll just run the NGK Vgrooves or stnd plugs the book calls for. see what happens. thanks.

autolite 3923's are $1.50 for TWO at walmart. do the math, it's an extra $4.50 on top of an oil change. i'll spend an extra $4.50 to ensure my car is performing up to par. and, it's not like they're difficult to change, either... it takes 5 minutes...

i change my plugs every time i change my oil. cheap insurance.
