Ok.... Im trying to get to the bottom of my misfire problem.... I tried checking my spark plug wires as in the TSRM and im not getting a resistance at all do I need to replace them?

it was no resistance, thanks jeff but I went and got new ones and the cap and rotor and it solved my problem. thanks though:icon_biggJeff Lange said:

yes, but I also think the batt. was dying in the multimeter too so that prob contributed to it.figgie said:
Since hes got his problem solved can somebody clear up a couple questions I have about my multimeter??? Its just a cheaper $20 digital one that I got from walmart. For resistance it has 200, 2000, 20k, 200k, and 2000k settings. For example, when adjusting my TPS and looking for 2.3k or less what would I want to set it to, 20k since 2000 would be under what I'm looking for? I think I should know this, but I just want to make sure I'm reading it all right.
Set it for the next increment up from what you want. 20K will measure 2.3K accurately enough for your needs.
Use the lowest setting that allows you to see the maximum you expect to see. If it's off the scale, move it up one setting.
If you had no resistance in the wire, then you had a metal wire. For refrence only, something is wrong with the test you did.
Agreed, no resistance would mean like perfect conduction. When wires go bad, resistance goes up, not down.
