HI in my 89 supre turbo I changed my spark plugs today. and i gapped them to .31 and i put the wires back in the correct position 1,5,3,2,6,4 and i go turn it on and initially it wouldnt start. then it did start but it was misfiring badly and a few pops came out of my exhaust. And from there i dont know what to do. If someone could just help me i would appreciate it. thanks

1-5-3-2-6-4? Off the top of my noodle that can't be right. In a waste sparjk system the companions can be determined by placing the lower order plugs over the higher order. In your example that would make plugs 1 and 2 companions, which isn't how this engine is set up. Be sure they're paired up correctly ie; 1 and 6 are companions, etc.

this is i checked the manual and the firing order was 153624 and i placed them in. i gapped it at .31 mm and boost is stock 8.4 i actually do think that i could have somehow damaged my wires and or coil packs.

I don't get how you can mess up firing/plug wire order so badly. The coil packs are labeled, the plug wires are pretty obviously designed to work with only 1 cylinder each (and also are labeled) and if you can count from 1 to 6 (I know it's hard) you can figure out which number each cylinder is. LOL.

LOL yeah i know stupid mistakes. well thats what happens when i go into things so blindsided. well anyways thanks for the help/flaming on me ahaha i take it as a compliment. but my coilpacks are original and dont have any lettering on them. if i put the wires back on the normal position it should work properly. but have i screwed anything up?

I don't know what manual you have but the 7mgte coil pack firing order should be 16-34-25.

yes the coil pack firing order is 16-34-25 but the actual cylinder cumbustion order is 1-5-3-6-2-4
