sounds in the engine bay

screeching sounds in the engine bay after i swapped in the twin ct12a. im pretty sure something is leaking but i dont know what. its probably a vacuum leak somewhere. i also have a fault greddy bov. ill post up a video later on. any clues??

well since it started when you swapped turbos, why don't you pull off the intake pipes for the turbo's and hold the wheels from spinning, and see if the screeching stops?

otherwise, get a hose, put it to your ear, and move it around to waterpump, p/s cam gears, and everything else looking for the noise.

so by stopping the compressor turbine from spinning, my compressor wheel is scratching against the housing?? i high doubt that because i ran the car for a while and the screeching stopped and it just came back after i stop driving it for about 3 weeks.

i never tried that hose technique ! but sounds cool. it sounds like its coming from the cam gears / hydro fan.

so the screeching only comes when i stop the car for a long time.

Sticking a metal rod or tube to the housing from whatever you suspect is making the noise and listening at the other end also works pretty good.
