wait a minute... if it doesnt turn over, that has NOTHING to do with the AFM. thats either a grounding issue, or a starter issue, or the stock alarm system has gone haywire.
if the stock alarm has decided to shit the bed, here are a couple of options:
here's a little background on the stock alarm system, known as the TDS. (theft deterrant system) when you lock the door with the key, it sets the alarm on the car. if you try to open the door, and succeed in doing so without the key, the alarm will sound. this goes for the hood, trunk, and both doors. sometimes the sensors in any of the aforementioned places goes bad, causing the alarm to malfunction. here are some ways of fixing it, without actually getting new sensors. (i recommend a good aftermarket alarm system anyway)

grounds. check all your grounds. make sure that your battery terminals are clean and corrosion-free. make sure the chassis ground is good and corrosion free, as well as the block/engine ground. troubleshooting with a multimeter on voltage/continuity check would aid in finding the problem.
make sure that small brown wire is connected to the starter. it's a spade connector, male end that plugs into the starter. this is for the stock alarm system. (all it does when it is set off, is flash the lights, beep the horn, and kill the starter) if your car is a manual, you can help narrow it down by trying to pop start it. (even if the alarm has disengaged the starter, you'll still be able to pop start it)
OR, try to put a battery charger on there, and start it. if that doesnt work, then you're probably looking at starter replacement. good luck!
