can't you just re-foam the speaker surrounds? Or replace it all together, the box is pretty cool, looks kind of small, not much power...hmm... I want it!

i hate it when they do that shit, but i never realized they did it to save a % on the costs. I always thought it was to trick the customer into buying and then see that shipping is $100 more :O
Buy a modern subwoofer for not much more. That subwoofer is obsolete to the technology they use to build new subs. my .02
