hi guys! im new to supras, i got one for my first car and i love it! i cant even drive yet:p
(i bought it early to get what needs to be done to it done)

but it was PO'ed by an older woman who kept it in EXCELLENT condition so theres not much that NEEDS to be done.

so i was wondering i wanted to add some horsepower. i wanted a turbo at first but with the headgasket problem idk...
im thinking about a cold air intake but what els could add horsepower. go expensive but maby not over 500 dollars.
and if you think the best way is a turbo i know that over 1000 just for a turbo and probably new headgasked. what will i need for a turbo?
wat will i need to add horsepower? its at about 200 now considering its a totaly stock 7m-ge. (note: im not just a kid trying to live "fast and furious" im not going
to screw up the car and plan on keeping it mostly stock) THANKYOU!

Hi and welcome!
Congratulations on your first Supra.
There are quite a few low cost options for making extra hp from N/a 7mgte engines. The forum has lot's to choose from.
As a general rule, however, power equals cubic $'s. ( that's a square stack of $'s not just a single pile)
To get the most enjoyment out of you new ride, spend the time and money replacing all of the suspension with new bushes, change your brakes for new pads and rotor, (if required) make sure your springs and shocks are up to scratch and if d a good tuner.
N/A supras have been raced more susessfully than the turbo cars in many different classes.
If you can be fast in a N/A supra you an be faster later in a turbo car.

Good luck. Happy reading.
