Some craigslist buyers are incredibly cheap.

I listed a childs bike seat we no longer use for $25. I think it's a reasonable price as I've had plenty of people interested. Only all of them want to lowball me. Not only that they want me to meet them halfway to their home to sell it.

I recently had this guy in Austin want me to meet him in San Marcos, and claimed that he'd pay me more for my trouble. That's a 60 mile round trip for him, 120 mile round trip for me. WTF is he thinking? I suggest him to keep his "extra money" and go to his local Walmart and buy a new one.

I thought craigslist listing were local listing. If you were interested in buying something you'd have to go pick it up. If it were a big ticket item I can understand meeting someone halfway in your own city to make a sale. Not a cheap item and wanting someone to drive way out of their city. Have you guys ever gone through this?

I think I'm just going to donate to a children's home and let them enjoy it, instead of dealing with a bunch of unreasonable cheap asses.

I have our fishtank listed on craigslist for $1200.

Some moron offered me $400 for it since "that's all he had leftover from buying his kids Christmas presents."

I didn't bother to reply, because I knew if I did, it wouldn't have been pretty.

How is of a fish tank is it? Any Siamese Fighting Fishes? I had a friend who bought a ten gallon tank, put a mesh in the middle and put on Siamese Fighting Fish on each side. The only time they would stop looking at each other was when he fed them.

Now he has them seperated. Been a couple of years now.

yeah, i used to sell a lot of audio equipment on cl. i have pretty much stopped, both because of lowballers, and idiots. how can a vintage orion amp possibly compete with that shiny new volfenhag 12,000,000 watt amp at $129?

Most people don't get how car amps work. Old stuff is great, it's the same reason old guitar amps are worth more than many modern amps.

Prices are all over the place too. I've been kinda searching for a motorcycle to fix up and people want way too much damn money for crap...

cant compete with the old skool car amps. they have a audio clarity that the new (and more higher powered amps) dont have, unless all you want is acoustic rust protection with rap music.....but i like my rock music, and i want to hear what the singer is singing, dont need the whole town to listen in.

and as for elctronics yeah some peoples prices are way out to lunch. i dj as so was looking for some used gear to start with for cheap. well no luck, people were selling 3, 4 and even 6 year old gear for 100 off new price. well long story short i made a few offers, they said no, so i went and got new gear. a week after i got my new gear, a few replied back saying they would now accept my offer casue they needed money, but i replied that i already had found gear. morons.

only good deal i got off craigslist was my supra. 1200 cdn for a 87 turbo targa with tems. only downside is its auto, but it got vandalized so needs minor work. met him at his place, put plates in it and drove her home.
