When I shift hard into second. I hit fuel cut. I am only at 10 psi and cannot go above this. If I adjust my MBC any higher I hit fuel cut in every gear...

Any ideas?

so? FCO is APPROXIMATELY around 12 psi....less in some cars, more in others. 10 psi is close enough.....if you really want to eek out the last few psi, check for boost leaks.

you hit FCO on the shift due to a boost spike, it depends on the type of MBC you're using.

So I'm guessing that is why the dual stage MBC is better than my Turbo XS MBC...

you might try backing out the bypass screw in the afm. it may give you a psi or 2 if you are really looking for that little bit of extra boost. i personally wouldnt worry about it right now if your going maft. get that shit running and rid yourself of the gay ass afm all together.

I'm going Maft Pro in a couple weeks. I cannot wait! Is Maft Pro as hard as I think its gonna be to set-up?
Also I was look at the bypass screw yesterday but cannot figure it out. How do I back it out? Its just a flat surface on the outisde of the AFM

depends how saavy you are with cars i guess.... me not so much.... i have no idea how the damn thing works LOL .... but it runs, someone semi-tuned it for me, and my car made 400hp easily... but i can't even play with it yet, my car is still in the damn shop... bolted up the 5spd after the auto was swapped out, to find that second gear doesn't work :( so that needs to be rebuilt now... hopefully i'll be back up and boostin in a week! and i can play with my new toys.

That is an aluminium plug they put in from the factory to stop you from playing with the screw. If you want to adjust it you will have to take the AFM off and carefully drill it out.

I'll give you .05 for the mbc.... What?! Hey, I'm just trying to keep you guys competitive. Besides, that's the difference between the prices in the two.
What's that?.......No deal....... Oh well, couldn't hurt to try.

J/K.......lol

eh, i don't think the MAFT pro is any harder than any other piggy back to set up. yup, there are more settings and if you go speed/density you'll have to mess w/the response settings to get it running perfect, but it's really a blessing in disguise for several reasons: 1. you get a better understanding of HOW engine management works 2. you have the parameters/settings to do virtually anything you'd like.

as already stated, drill out the cover on the screw....then screw away! ;)
