Working on my bro's car today. just checking out his engine that he just recently picked up from dynoxtreme. that sarkis worked on. Dynoxtreme for mk3's just ain't happening they did really $hitty work.ill explain later. Anyways back to the point i was changing my bro's intake.

And i noticed that his Afm did not have that honeycomb insert that i see in other Afm. is that bad?
he's been running stock boost lately. the engine needed to be broken in which we needed 900 miles on it. ok. that was done. we'll i just recently i did the washer mod to his wastegate and i noticed that his car

Problems-
With 3 washers on each side of the wastegate is just still holding 8pds.
the car's 02 sensor is bad. gonna replace soon. nasty black/grey.
checked the spark plugs and the have grey tips on top. is that bad?
also car at high rpm does shoot out alittle grey smoke.

Is he running rich and how do i take care of that problem?

also gonna do a boost leak test tommorrow.

And Should i tell my bro to change his spark plugs?

also his spark plug wires are some that we picked up right before his last
engine blew so on his new engine he still has those plugs. checked them out they look fine. How do u know if there bad?

oh yeah and every time we change the spark plugs. the spark plug cables don't stay in flush into the block. they pop out alittle like a couple of cenemeters. Is this Common?

What makes you think you are running rich? Oxygen sensor voltage is always above450mv? Rich code?Vf?

When you accelerate, and the turbocharger is producing postitive pressure, Toyota runs very rich. This accomidates two things. One being a composite head gasket, the other cast pistons. A little smoke at WOT is normal, even on a naturally aspirated car.

OEM plugs and wires do not stick out.

Better jack up the cap and roll another one under it.

And get the honeycomb. It straightens turbulent air so the meter gets a more accurate reading. And stops rocks...
