I just bought an 88 turbo a couple of days ago and the guy that owned it before me had installed an autometer boost/ vacuum gauge is there anyway to calibrate it because my dash boost gauge reads a different number than the pillar gauge. Any sugestions?

how big of a differance? cause the dash gauge is junk and in many cases inaccurate. if the autometer gauge is properly connected the power and the vaccum line id trust that over the stock one.

when I fire it up the auto meter goes directly to the 20 vacuum side and when it spools up it shoots over to like 2 on the boost side.... I dont think it is working properly

When you say it goes to 2 is that PSI on the Autometer? If that is at full boost I would say you have a boost leak. Does it sound like there is alot of air movement from the engine bay? The vacuum reading sounds correct so I would say you have a good source.
