nothing special just a do it yourself length shortening of the shifter so it sets right. technicaly it shortens the throw although people argue diffrently all the time any time you move the handle closer to the pivot point or lengthen the fulcrom from the transmission your decrease the throw but increase the force need to move it the greater distance by the transmission but the shorter distance you shift handle travels.

The reason the SOGI is arguably better is because the R154 is allready a difficult/notchy transmission to perform fast and acurate shifts on so just shortening the shifter length by this mod keeps it managble as long as you dont try and mount the handle on the pivot ball itself(dont go to short). Also keep a good counter weight heavy shifter to make it better!

Now on the W58 which is smooth as butter you could use "C"s and go really short throw on them they are not no where near as touchy.

My opinion, and many fight this, is that the sogi is much better than stock.

Its looks great, and sits right were my hand is when driving. FLame me, but i love it!

It may not shorten the throw, but how fast can you possibly go from 3rd to 4th?

And IF that .0001 of a second is worth it, go buy a c's.
